Emily Bendell

Supervised Therapist


Emily is a supervised therapist that began her career in the field of mental health and addictions in 2022 by supporting youth struggling with substance use disorder, mental health, and other complex issues. She also has experience working with individuals with cognitive and physical disabilities. In addition to working at Niagara Integrative Therapy, Emily also currently works at an inpatient addictions treatment facility, where she continues to support individuals on their recovery journey. Her training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy skills, informs her empathetic and non-judgemental approach. 

Emily is an indigenous practitioner and understands the importance of providing culturally informed care. She strives to create a safe and welcoming space for individuals from all backgrounds and life experiences. 

Emily is completing the final year of her Bachelor of Science (Honours) Biological Sciences and Psychology degree at Brock University and is a Dean’s Honours List Award recipient. Her undergraduate thesis focuses on psychopathy and antisocial behaviour, reflecting her interest in understanding complex conditions. Following graduation, Emily plans to pursue a career in nursing, with the goal of becoming a Registered Nurse. 

Emily has completed training in Suicide Intervention Skills, Culturally Informed Care, Mental Health First Aid, Core Skills in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, SMART Recovery Facilitation, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, and First Aid and CPR.
