Alexandra Branscombe

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) (CRPO)

My name is Alexandra Branscombe, and I am completing my graduate studies in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I offer a warm, collaborative space for children aged seven and older, preteens, teens, young adults, parents, caregivers, and families.

Children’s behaviour can reflect stress, unmet needs, or difficulty accessing skills when they feel overwhelmed. I help young people understand their emotions and body signals, develop regulation skills and tools for managing anxiety, approach challenges in manageable steps, and build confidence in their ability to do hard things. I also collaborate with parents, caregivers, and families to strengthen connection, communication, boundaries, and support at home.

My approach is culturally responsive, trauma-informed, strength-based, solution-focused, play-inspired, and grounded in each client’s developmental needs. I integrate these perspectives to create engaging, practical sessions tailored to each client. Together, we can develop a better understanding of what you or your child may be experiencing, recognize existing strengths, build coping and communication skills, and work toward meaningful goals.

Now in my 18th year in education, I bring extensive experience supporting children, youth, parents, and families, including neurodivergent children and adolescents. This experience has deepened my appreciation for how differences in attention, sensory processing, communication, and executive functioning can influence emotional well-being, relationships, confidence, and experiences at home and school.

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel difficult. If you think I may be a good fit for you, your child, or your family, I welcome the opportunity to connect. We can discuss what brings you to therapy, what you hope to gain from the process, and how I may be able to support you.

I provide therapy under the clinical supervision of Jeffrey Sica, MSc., Registered Psychotherapist.
